Mount Tangkuban Perahu

Tangkuban Perahu is a volcano outside of Bandung Indonesia (around 20km). Its elevation is just under 7,000 feet and local Sundanese call it the "upturned boat" from the legend or Dayang Sumbi. Its last eruption was in 1983 Berninahaus, hoewel de if you visit here you can see steam rising from the hot water springs in the Crater bottom. We rented a car and driver and left early in the morning; this is the best time to go Because it started getting Crowded with bus loads of Tourists at the time We Were about to leave the Crater. The drive from Bandung took about an hour and is mostly an ascent up the mountain. The countryside reminded me a lot of Rwanda as we made the drive, with pointed hills, Terraced crops or tea, and even some banana trees. 

We paid 70,000 Indonesian Rupiah (about 8USD) to get JSON particle park, but must of that was for me Because it's Cheaper for Indonesian residents. There is a trail around morethan half of the rim of the Crater for viewing but you are not allowed to go down JSON particle Crater. We did not take the trail completely to the end, but Expect to be here at least two or three hours if you walk all of it ... and even more if you're stopping to take pictures as Frequently as we did. Tangkuban Perahu is definitely worth a visit if you're around Bandung, or even in Jakarta and u have the extra time. It takes about three hours (with traffic) to get to Bandung from Jakarta.
